Braves place Cristian Pache on injured list
It’s been a season to forget for Atlanta Braves center fielder Cristian Pache and things have only been made worse with a trip to the Injured List.
In what’s been a rough 2021 thus far for the Atlanta Braves, skipper Brian Snitker isn’t getting any favors on the injury front. Braves fans already scratched their heads with the Ronald Acuña ankle injury, and now some rough news is in on center fielder Cristian Pache.
That’s because it was announced on Thursday night that the athletic outfielder will be out of the lineup for a little while, with a trip to the Injured List on the way.
Atlanta has place outfielder Cristian Pache on the injured list
Due to a hamstring injury, Pache is on the 10-day Injured List. It doesn’t appear to be a serious injury, but one that is clearly causing Pache plenty of discomfort. The hope is that he’ll take some time off, get that hammy right and then return to his usual spot in center.
Some time away from the lineup could be good for Pache too. He’s struggled immensely from the dish, as he’s currently hitting .111 with one homer and only four RBI. That batting average surely is concerning, and one Snitker hopes Pache can continuously try and build back up to a respectable level.
For the Braves, they’re in third place of the NL East standings behind the Mets and Phillies. In the first 37 games of the year, for Atlanta to be 17-20 is not what the local supporters thought they’d see. On paper, the Braves are built to be among the top teams in the National League thanks to their loaded lineup. However, the opposite has been the case. Come this summer, we’ll see if the Braves can live up to their spring training hype.
