Former Alabama football star Marlon Humphrey managed to compliment Texas A&M football before brutally destroying them in a tweet.

Look up the dictionary definition of “backhanded compliment,” and you’ll find a copy of Marlon Humphrey’s recent tweet about Texas A&M.

The Alabama football alum unloaded on the rival school in the nicest of ways.

“Texas A&M athletic facilities and campus is the best I’ve ever seen…” Humphrey’s tweeted.

Then he dropped the hammer.

“If I could do it again and re pick a college I still wouldn’t consider them but wow I love it.”

Talk about a bait and switch. Humphrey put the punch in punch line.

Texas A&M does have nice facilities thanks to a $20.8 million renovation project completed in 2014 after Humphrey signed for Alabama. The trouble is snazzy facilities wouldn’t have been enough to draw Humphrey away from the uber-successful Alabama program run by Nick Saban.

That’s part of the reason Alabama owns an eight-game-winning streak over their SEC opponent. They own the all-time series record at 11-2.

Humphrey is no stranger to battering Texas A&M. He was a cornerback on the 2015 Crimson Tide team that smashed the Aggies 41-23. They went on to win the national title with the cornerback drawing Freshman All-American honors.

Alabama also got the better of A&M in 2016 when Humphrey was a redshirt sophomore in a 33-14 victory. He was an All-American that season.

Humphrey went on to the NFL courtesy of the Ravens No. 16 overall selection in the 2017 draft. He’s achieved Pro Bowl honors in each of the last two seasons.
