Light heavyweight boxer Joshua Buatsi scored a scary highlight knockout of Daniel Blenda Dos Santos to remain undefeated and up his stock.

England’s Joshua Buatsi is no stranger to scoring knockouts, but his leveling of Daniel Blenda Dos Santos on May 15 from the AO Arena in Manchester might be his most picturesque and devastating knockout performance.

Buatsi (14-0, 12 KOs) has a strong amateur pedigree, including a bronze medal at the 2016 Rio Olympics. The 28-year-old originally from Ghana has looked like a hot light heavyweight prospect throughout his career, and his punching power has a lot to do with it.

He dropped Dos Santos in round 2 with a left and right hook combination. He tried to put Dos Santos away, but Dos Santos effectively evaded Buatsi.

Dos Santos found himself in trouble again in round 4. He was stuck against the ropes, and Buatsi caught Dos Santos with a right cross the knocked Dos Santos out on his feet. He followed it with another right hand that drove Dos Santos into the canvas.

The referee immediately stopped the fight, and it took a while for Dos Santos to come to. He eventually made it back to his feet, but the final result was a round 4 TKO victory for Buatsi.

Buatsi holds the WBA International light heavyweight title but is looking to upgrade to a major world title. This was Buatsi’s first fight with new trainer Virgil Hunter in his corner. Hunter is one of the best boxing trainers in the world, and the pairing looks like a great match.
