player. Pick Analysis. SEC. West. Alabama Crimson Tide. 3. 829. Scouting Report

The Alabama Crimson Tide did it a year ago, so why not do it again?

Even with all the attrition in the 2021 NFL Draft, the Alabama Crimson Tide are probably the most talented team in the Power Five. While they have the football culture to go undefeated, Alabama has a brutal schedule this year. Alabama has to play Miami in neutral-site Atlanta, as well as Florida in The Swamp. Add in SEC West opponents, Georgia in the title bout and the playoff, that’ll be tough.

Clemson Tigers. 2. player. 879. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. ACC. Atlantic

The Clemson Tigers rarely lose games in the ACC, so that really helps them out

If Clemson beats Georgia Week 1 in Charlotte, there is a great chance the Tigers go undefeated. While ACC foes like Boston College could be tricky, Clemson will not have to play either Coastal elite team in Miami or North Carolina until the conference title bout. Clemson would be favored over both of them in Charlotte. The Tigers can win the playoff, but they have to beat Georgia first.

812. Scouting Report. Big Ten. Ohio State Buckeyes. 1. Pick Analysis. East. player

The gap between the Ohio State Buckeyes and the rest of the Big Ten is vast

Ohio State’s toughest game is at home vs. the Pac-12 hopeful Oregon in early September. If this game were being played in Eugene, then things would be different. Ohio State does not play Iowa, Northwestern or Wisconsin out of the Big Ten West, and would only have to beat one of them in Indianapolis to win the conference. Indiana and Penn State could be difficult, but that is about it.

Overall, you would be wise to pick one of these teams in the top three to go undefeated and win a national championship. If you want to add in Georgia and Oklahoma, then three of those top-five teams are guaranteed to make the playoff. As far as Coastal Carolina, the Chants have the best shot at going undefeated in the Group of 5. As of right now, Ohio State has the easiest schedule.
