Allegiant Air is catering to Kansas City Chiefs fans with a ticket package offer to get them to travel to Las Vegas for their regular-season game against the Raiders.

The Las Vegas Raiders opened up their brand new home, Allegiant Stadium last year, but did not host fans due to the coronavirus pandemic. With the NFL expecting to have full capacity at stadiums next season, Allegiant Air, sponsor of the Raiders’ venue, is sweetening the pot to get rival fans to make the trip to Vegas.

Allegiant Air is offering Chiefs fans a one-time flight from Kansas City to Las Vegas for their regular-season game on Nov. 14. The plane will depart Kansas City on Nov. 12 and return Nov. 15.

“Allegiant Stadium provides a game day experience unlike any other,” said Drew Wells, Allegiant senior vice president of revenue in a statement, via the Las Vegas Review-Journal. “We know fans are excited to get back into the stands and support their favorite athletes. Allegiant’s brand of nonstop, affordable flights provides the perfect opportunity for Chiefs fans to travel to Las Vegas.”

Raiders stadium sponsor offering Chiefs fans ticket for Nov. 14 game

It may throw people off that the Raiders’ sponsor, whose name is on the stadium, is offering to get Chiefs fans to make the trip to Las Vegas. Well, why wouldn’t they? The Chiefs have a massive fanbase, and Allegiant Air no doubt wants a full stadium for the huge AFC West game.

The rivalry has heated up after this past season, where the Raiders handed the Chiefs a 40-32 loss in Week 5. That led to the Raiders taking “victory laps” around Arrowhead Stadium, much to the anger of the Chiefs. In their second meeting in Week 11, the first at Allegiant Stadium, the Raiders put up one heck of a fight but lost 35-31 due to a late touchdown reception by tight end Travis Kelce.

Las Vegas was in the running for a Wild Card spot but failed to clinch following late-season losses to the Indianapolis Colts, Los Angeles Chargers and Miami Dolphins. As for the Chiefs, they went on to make their second-consecutive trip to the Super Bowl but lost 31-9 to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

NFL teams are banking on fans returning to stadiums en masse this year after the past season featured limited-to-no capacity. Allegiant wants Raiders home games jam-packed in 2021, so they decided to sweeten the deal for Chiefs fans to make the trip to Las Vegas to catch a road game.
