The Indiana Pacers or the Washington Wizards will be the Eastern Conference’s No. 8 seed.

In a game for all the marbles, the Washington Wizards will host the Indiana Pacers in a win-or-go-home, play-in tournament game in the nation’s capital on Thursday night.

Indiana advanced out of the No. 9 vs. No. 10 game by beating the 10th-placed Charlotte Hornets in Indianapolis on Tuesday night effortlessly, 144-117. Though Washington put up a decent fight to some extent later on that night, the Wizards still lost at the Boston Celtics in the No. 7 vs. No. 8 game, 118-100. The winner on Thursday night will become the Eastern Conference’s No. 8 seed.
