Charles Barkley has hilarious commentary on LeBron James breaking NBA protocol (Video)
By John Buhler
Charles Barkley calls out the NBA for how the league handled LeBron James breaking protocol.
LeBron James will not be suspended by the NBA for violating the league’s COVID-19 protocols, and Charles Barkley had some things to say about it.
James’ Los Angeles Lakers will take on Barkley’s former team in the Phoenix Suns in a best-of-seven, first-round series. While Phoenix has had its best season in years to earn the No. 2 seed, a healthy Lakers team is the favorite to advance to the Western Conference Semifinals. Barkley was not shy in criticizing NBA commissioner Adam Silver for not punishing James over his violation.
Disclaimer: This is not TNT production of Inside the NBA, so Barkley held absolutely nothing back.

Charles Barkley recognizes the NBA plays favorites with LeBron James
James violated NBA protocols in the week leading up to the Lakers’ play-in tournament game vs. the Pacific Division rival Golden State Warriors. He reportedly was at a tequila promotional event with celebrities like Drake and Michael B. Jordan. The NBA deemed this event not to be of the variety that could spread COVID-19. James has not gone public about his vaccination status.
If there was ever a time to prove to everyone that the rules do not apply to James, this would be it. Barkley is completely right in that had this been pretty much any other player in the league, he would have been suspended and been placed into quarantine. The Lakers are one of the teams who have not surpassed the 85-percent vaccinated threshold yet. That means 15 of 17 players.
If you are shocked by the NBA not being willing to suspend James, you are not paying attention.
