The Denver Broncos have a deep roster, so these five players will be gone before Week 1.

The Denver Broncos, with a roster deep with talent on both sides of the ball, would be a dangerous team if they can get the quarterback position right. To that end, they linger as a possible trade suitor for Aaron Rodgers.

Of course the Broncos already traded for a quarterback this offseason, acquiring Teddy Bridgewater from the Carolina Panthers. But that shouldn’t stop them from being in on Rodgers until he makes nice with the Packers–if he makes nice with the Packers.

Being in the AFC West means contending with the Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes, and now the Chargers and Justin Herbert. The Broncos can’t measure up to those quarterbacks with their own, so the talent on the rest of the roster is rendered moot until they can.

That being said, the Broncos may have some tough decisions as they shape the rest of their roster between now and the start of the season.

5. Quinn Bailey, offensive tackle

The Broncos signed Cameron Fleming early and Bobby Massie late, so the loss of Ju’Wuan James ultimately won’t hurt that bad. In terms of tackled depth, Calvin Anderson and Drew Himmelman are around as well.

Bailey has played two games in two seasons. Letting him go will be pretty easy.
