2021 SEC Baseball Tournament bracket unveiled: Predictions, storylines, teams to watch
By Ethan Lee
The bracket for the 2021 SEC Baseball Tournament has been unveiled. Check out how the conference championship tournament in Hoover is set up here.
The regular season over and postseason play is here for the college baseball world. The Southeastern Conference is gearing up for the 2021 SEC baseball tournament, which is set to take place from Tuesday, May 25 and run through Sunday, May 30.
Only 12 teams from the conference get a spot in the tournament, the top 12 teams of course, not the bottom 12. Arkansas earned the top spot by having the best conference record through the regular season. Tennessee grabbed the No. 2 seed by having the best SEC record amongst the SEC East teams.
Here’s how the 12 teams were seeded:
- Arkansas
- Tennessee
- Mississippi State
- Vanderbilt
- Ole Miss
- Florida
- South Carolina
- Georgia
- LSU
- Alabama
- Kentucky
- Auburn

Teams to watch
If you haven’t been keeping up with SEC baseball and are looking for a few teams who could win it all, keep an eye on the Arkansas Razorbacks, the Tennessee Volunteers, the Mississippi State Bulldogs, the Vanderbilt Commodores, and the Ole Miss Rebels.
These five teams are probably the best in the conference this season, with Arkansas and Tennessee being the two best in their divisions and Arkansas claiming the SEC champion crown from the regular season. In addition to the Razorbacks and Vols, the Bulldogs, Commodores, and Rebels all have the talent to be able to contend for the SEC tournament crown.
But the biggest question is how much any of these teams invest in trying to win it all. With the regular season having just wrapped up and the NCAA Tournament following shortly after the SEC Tournament concludes, will these five teams put a bunch of effort into this and use their best pitchers to try and win the 2021 SEC Baseball Tournament?
Who wins the 2021 SEC baseball tournament?
My money would be on one of the top four seeded teams who get an extra day of rest before getting this started, so someone in the grouping of Arkansas, Tennessee, Mississippi State and Vanderbilt. And if the regular season is any indicator, then Arkansas should be the team to beat, and the most likely team to come out on top.
