MLB just released some new hats thinking that fans would love them, but they could not be more wrong about that.

What in the world was MLB thinking here? On Tuesday, the league dropped what they thought would be some epic new hats that fans across the country would be fired up about. Well, the opposite has been the case.

These new hats that have been revealed are nothing short of abysmal, with folks voicing just how angry they are all over social media. What did MLB expect? Take a look for yourself if you haven’t seen them yet.

MLB dropped some new local market hats and fans couldn’t be less excited about them

Come on. Did they really think this was going to go over well? It’s bad enough that hats cost more than $40 these days. Who’s going to drop this kind of cash on these? It’s simply not going to happen, no doubt about that.

If you’re an Astros fans, are you really going to buy a cap that has an asterisk on it? We think not, folks.

In all seriousness, who would want that thing? Absolutely no one. MLB had the chance to really make things special with some of these caps, but they really tried way too hard. Just when you thought things couldn’t get any worse, take a look at the Oakland Athletics’ one: absolutely brutal.

Palm trees? Who in the world thinks of palm trees when it comes to Oakland, Calif.? What’s next, sunshine for the Seattle Mariners, where it’s seemingly raining outside T-Mobile Park six months out of the year? No thanks. If MLB decides to run things back next year, let’s hope they do way better than 2021.
