Ozzie Guillen breaking down an ejection from Joe West during his days as the Chicago White Sox manager is absolutely unbelievable video content.

Ahead of Joe West setting the MLB record for most games umpired on Monday, you have to see former Chicago White Sox skipper Ozzie Guillen break down one of his infamous ejections from West live on the air of NBCSports Chicago.

During his managerial career, Guillen would get a little fired up every now and then. It was part of his charm as the skipper on the South Side. While he never laid a hand on West, watching Guillen explain what his 2010 ejection from West was all about 11 years after the fact is nothing short of awesome. In short, do not use your hand to tell a big-league manager he needs to get off the field.

Guillen’s incredible commentary over this ejection is why you always need to watch the pregame.

Chicago White Sox: Ozzie Guillen breaking down a Joe West ejection is amazing

The best part of Guillen breaking down all that went down on this ejection was him saying that the things he said to West would have him out of a job, out a marriage and out of a family. You can tell Guillen was heated having to watch this ejection some 11 years later. He was doing everything in his power to avoid swearing on the air. You knew he wanted to, but he likes the job he has now.

Overall, baseball needs more of its managers ejected. The video replay system has largely done away with that. While it was created to get more calls right, that has not been the case. It just slows down the process and protects the umpires after making horrible calls on the field. Simply put, there is nothing better than seeing the home team’s skipper get all riled up and be ejected.

The baseball world needs more Bobby Coxes, Ozzie Guillens, Lou Piniellas and Earl Weavers.
