Cleveland Browns fans are going to be ecstatic hearing the latest update on wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr.

The Cleveland Browns solidified their new identity as a perennial Super Bowl contender heading into the 2021 season. They had an active free-agency period and had one of the better draft classes in the league. What more can Browns fans ask for?

How about a positive update on wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr?

ESPN reporter Jeremy Fowler, via Bleacher Report, heard from an anonymous player working alongside Beckham that the wide receiver looks “awesome” following surgery to repair a torn ACL. The two are both working out at the EXOS performance center in Arizona.

Browns: Odell Beckham Jr. progressing well in ACL recovery

This is certainly welcome news for Browns fans, who have been on cloud nine ever since their AFC Wild Card round win over the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The electric wide receiver came over to Cleveland in 2019 in a shocking trade by the New York Giants, who had just signed him to a massive contract extension. In his first season, Beckham recorded 74 receptions for 1,035 yards and four touchdowns through 16 games. The team finished the year with a 6-10 record during their lone season with Freddie Kitchens as head coach.

Last season, Beckham tallied 23 receptions for 319 yards and three touchdowns in seven games before tearing his ACL in Week 7 against the Cincinnati Bengals. His breakout performance that year came in Week 4 agains the Dallas Cowboys, where he caught five-of-eight targets for 81 yards and two touchdowns and rushed for 73 yards and a score on two carries.

While Cleveland’s offense was still productive without him last, having Beckham on the field gives the Browns an advantage on a weekly basis in 2021.
