Chelsea winning the Champions League over Manchester City prompted tons of congratulations and a whole bunch of doubters proven wrong.
Chelsea are Champions of Europe. Let the celebrations in London begin.
On Saturday, the Blues battled fellow Premier League giants Manchester City in Porto for the Champions League title. Thomas Tuchel’s men came out on top, 1-0.
The players on the field were overcome. The fans in the stands were elated. The folks on Twitter? They were just as jubilant.

It all has to begin with the thing that moment that will live on in montages and on posters: The trophy lift.

Chelsea players celebrated by passing around N’Golo Kante, who may be 5-foot-6 but put in an immense performance far larger than his stature.

To get to the final, the Blues made it through knockout round matchups with Atletico Madrid, FC Porto and Real Madrid.
Chelsea defied the odds by shutting down Manchester City’s massively talented squad, limiting them to just one shot on target all game.
Meanwhile, Havertz and Timo Werner managed to produce serious chances, including the winning goal in the 42nd minute.
The Champions League trophy is Chelsea’s second in their history. They last won it in 2012.
