All of the information you need about the Indy 500 winner 2021 and the race results
History was made at the Indy 500 on Sunday afternoon.
For the fourth time in his career, Helio Castroneves crossed the finish line a winner at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, joining an elite class of drivers and cementing his status as one of the greatest Formula 1 drivers to ever take the wheel.
Of course, making history isn’t easy. Castroneves needed a late race push to claim victory, and the race came down to the final few laps. Alex Palou was leading down the stretch of the Indy 500, and it wasn’t until the final three laps that Castroneves finally moved past him to take the lead.
And so it would remain until the end. But why make history if you’re not going to do it in style?
