Pablo Sandoval becomes a literal panda to celebrate Freddie Freeman dinger (Video)

Pablo Sandoval is a lovable member of the Atlanta Braves bench, serving as both a clutch pinch-hitter and one of the best teammates in baseball.

Atlanta Braves slugger Freddie Freeman went yard on Friday night against the Los Angeles Dodgers in a rematch of last year’s NLCS, in which the Braves were just one game away from winning the pennant.

In celebrating Freeman’s big moment, he went right to dugout, where Sandoval was waiting with a literal panda costume. Frankly, why did this take so long to happen?

Sandoval has made himself valuable off the bench, with four home runs on the season.

Freeman and the Braves have struggled at times this season, as they sit in second place in the NL East, 3.5 games behind the Mets.

That’s not going to cut it for a fanbase with World Series aspirations.

Freeman is having a subpar year in his own right .227 with 12 home runs and 29 RBIs. Last season’s National League MVP hit .341 with 13 home runs and 53 RBIs. With Marcell Ozuna potentially on the outs in Atlanta, Freeman will be asked to play a large role for the remainder of the season.
