In what Chris Mannix of Sports Illustrated called an ‘autograph signing’, legendary boxer Floyd Mayweather is stooping to the level of Logan Paul in what is one of the most transparent cash grabs in the history of sports.

This goes beyond disparaging the image of boxing, or soiling the legacy of the sport. It’s sadder than those garbage celebrity boxing relation shows that populated airwaves over a decade ago because the fighters involved think it’s much more serious than it is.

The Triller Fight Club event that featured Logan’s brother Jake Paul knocking out former MMA fighter Ben Askren was highly processed fast food entertainment that accidentally became something we all got into.

This fight is if McDonald’s stopped pretending its food is cancerous and dangerous and just injected diseases straight into our hearts this cutting out the middle man.

The odds are stacked against a YouTuber knocking out who many regard as one of the greatest boxers of all time, but the odds are even worse in favor of this being an event anyone feels good about after it’s over.

How much is the Logan Paul Floyd Mayweather fight?

The pay-per-view will cost $49.99 and will be available exclusively through Showtime. There’s an entire card to watch beyond just the main event, and frankly the boxing could be a lot better than it will be once Mayweather and Paul step into the ring together.

Then again, this entire thing is one gigantic cash grab that everyone involved with will probably end up feeling dirty after.

How to watch Mayweather vs Paul free stream

Unfortunately there isn’t a way to watch the fight for free. Showtime will be streaming the fight exclusively for $49.99, but if you already subscribe to the channel you’ll be able to order it through the app that you use on any mobile device that is able to stream the channel.

There are other less than legal ways to stream the fight, but that’s not at all encouraged. In fact, Triller was going after IP addresses after the Jake Paul vs. Ben Askren Fight Club card from a month ago.

And if we’re being entirely honest, that was the fight to risk drawing the ire of Uncle Sam over. The Mayweather vs. Paul fight is likely to be nothing more than a Sunday evening we’ll all wish we can have back.
