Vegas Golden Knights goalkeeper Marc-Andre Fleury accidentally smacked a fan in the back of the head when he threw a puck into the stands.

It was supposed to be a nice gesture from Marc-Andre Fleury when he threw a puck into the stands for a Vegas Golden Knights fan.

A different fan got the shock of his life when the flying puck hit him in the back of the head.

Is this one on Fleury or the fan who failed to catch it in the first place?

There’s no question that one hurt. A flying puck is no joke.

On the plus side, that fan has a unique story to tell about his experience of playoff hockey. It’s not every day a hall of fame goalkeeper pelts you with a puck.

He also got to be the good guy who gave the puck to a young fan. So it all worked out.

Marc-Andre Fleury gave a Golden Knights fan a knock on the head and a story

When he’s not tossing pucks to fans, Fleury is working to get the Golden Knights even with the Colorado Avalanche.

The Avalanche won both games at home before Vegas responded with a Game 3 victory at home. After two periods on Sunday, the Golden Knights held a 3-1 advantage over their opponents.

Colorado’s Brandon Saad opened the scoring less than two minutes into the game. The reaction from Vegas was spot on. Jonathan Marchessault scored a few minutes later in the first period. Then in the second Max Pacioretty gave Vegas the lead. Marchessault added to it with a power play goal.

Fleury is a three-time Stanley Cup Champion and five-time All-Star. He won the William M. Jennings trophy this season as a goalkeeper for the NHL team that allowed the fewest goals.
