2. RB Jordan Howard

He began his career as a workhorse for the Chicago Bears. Back in 2016, running back Jordan Howard was a fifth-round pick by the team from the Windy City. He finished second in the league in rushing as a rookie behind Dallas’ Ezekiel Elliott, running for 1,313 yards and six touchdowns in 15 contests.

In each of his first three seasons, the former Indiana University standout totaled at least 250 attempts. He was sent to Philadelphia via trade in 2019 and was limited to 10 games. He signed with the Dolphins a year later but wound up back with the Birds in ’20. The last two seasons, Howard has played in a combined 17 games and totaled just 154 carries for 585 yards and 10 scores.

1. TE Zach Ertz

It seems inevitable that one of the best players at his position in the league will be moving on. A trade of tight end Zach Ertz has been the subject of speculation throughout 2021 (see the recent NBC Sports Philly analyst by Dave Zangaro). He sports quite the resume as a three-time Pro Bowler, totaling 561 receptions for 6,078 yards and 36 touchdowns.

But the eight-year pro comes off the least productive season of his career as he played in a personal-low 11 games. His 36 catches were his fewest since his rookie campaign and he finished with career worsts in yards per reception (9.3) and TD grabs (1). Don’t be shocked if he’s moved as the three-game preseason winds down.
