Le’Veon Bell stands by what he said about Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid.

Le’Veon Bell somewhat apologizes for the things he said about Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid over Twitter on Sunday.

The free agent running back ripped Reid over the weekend on social media after how frustrating of a season it was for Bell in Kansas City. The former All-Pro running back with the Pittsburgh Steelers only had 63 carries for 254 yards and two touchdowns in nine games for the 2020 Chiefs. While he wants to play for a defensive-minded head coach, his attack of Reid was a bit concerning.

Here is what Bell tweeted on Sunday night about the upheaval he created surrounding Reid.

Chiefs: Le’Veon Bell apologizes for the comments he made about Andy Reid

While it is fine that Bell and Reid had their disagreements, Bell ripping him over social media this candidly should not sit well with anyone. Reid is one of the most liked head coaches in the NFL today. Though he is a pass-first, offensive-minded head coach, Bell should not have been surprised about the differing offensive philosophies between him and his former head coach.

Bell has not been the same player since he held out with the Steelers in 2018. His two-year run with the New York Jets was a disaster. All the while, the Chiefs have been the best team in the AFC. Even if Bell stands by what he said, he understands that not everybody is going to agree with him on this manner. So his apology is more to the fans than anything. He is still unsigned for 2021.

By airing his dirty laundry for everyone to see, Bell has limited his potential free-agent market.
