If any team is having a perplexing offseason in the NFL, it’s the Green Bay Packers. After Aaron Rodgers led them one game away from the Super Bowl in 2020, it seems like his time is over in Green Bay.

However, Rodgers is still under contract, and the Packers have a really talented team. They have more than enough to get them back to where they were last year, and potentially further. If Green Bay ends up winning the Super Bowl this season, it will be because of these two reasons.

Reason No. 1: Aaron Rodgers

It’s no secret that the Packer’s championship aspirations begin and end with Aaron Rodgers. So it’s interesting why the team isn’t doing more to please their 37-year-old signal-caller. Nevertheless, if he plays for Green Bay this season, he’ll be the biggest reason they have a realistic shot at winning the Super Bowl.

Rodgers is coming off of what might’ve been the best season of his career. He threw for 4,299 yards and a career-high 48 touchdowns. He also set a career-high in QBR with 84.2, while completing 70 percent of his passes, according to ESPN. He was the engine behind the team and that helped him capture his third MVP award.

The Packers haven’t done much to help Rodgers on offense, meaning it will be on him once again to carry the team to the promised land. He’s done it before, over a decade ago with better talent across the board. Green Bay knows No. 12 is their last hope at a championship before grooming Jordan Love, so you’d think they’d be trying to make the most of it.

Aaron Rodger’s situation with the Packers doesn’t seem like it’s getting better anytime soon. In the scenario it does and he returns to the team, he will be the driving force behind Green Bay’s next attempt at a championship.
