The Packers have a deeper roster than some NFL experts realize. Here are three hidden gems that could emerge as stars for Green Bay.

The offseason saga of Aaron Rodgers is understandably dominating the Packers’ news cycle at the moment. It’s unfair to say that Green Bay has a stars and scrubs roster though. This group is much deeper than experts think on the whole.

One of the underrated keys to the Packers’ 2021 campaign is the ability of some underrated stars to emerge as important playmakers. Several young guys have a chance to do just that. Packers fans need to keep a particularly close eye on the following three stars.

3. Amari Rodgers

Rodgers comes into Green Bay under a lot of pressure to make an immediate impact as the team’s starting option in the slot. He’s got the physical skills to become an elusive weapon in the team’s passing game. The challenge for Rodgers will be getting on the same page with the other Rodgers to earn his trust.

If that happens, he’s got a chance to emerge as the team’s No. 2 option at wide receiver. He’s not going to overtake Davante Adams anytime soon, but there’s no reason to think he can’t beat out the likes of Allan Lazard and Marquez Valdes-Scantling.

It might take Rodgers some time to get up and running in the starting lineup, but he should be an important cog of Green Bay’s offense come playoff time. His short-term development is a big storyline for the Packers in 2021.
