Charles Barkley didn’t hold back on his criticism of the Milwaukee Bucks after they relinquished a 17-point lead in Game 5 against the Brooklyn Nets.

Game 5 between the Milwaukee Bucks and Brooklyn Nets lived up to the hype. Kevin Durant put on a spectacular performance with 49 points, 17 rebounds, 10 assists, 3 steals and 2 blocks. He led the Nets back from 17 down at the half to give them a 3-2 lead in the series.

Even though KD had a historic playoff performance, the epic collapse of the Milwaukee Bucks is all Charles Barkley could talk about after the game.

Charles Barkley rips the Bucks for playing ‘dumb’ basketball

Barkley, The longtime Inside the NBA analyst, proceeded to destroy Milwaukee for how they played in Game 5. He went as far as to say the product the Bucks put out there on Tuesday night was “embarrassing for basketball.”

Milwaukee started the game strong, gaining a double-digit lead after the first quarter. However, it didn’t seem like they were fully in control of the game, and that is something Barkley also pointed out in his rant. The Hall of Fame forward mentioned how he felt the Bucks were going to lose the game at halftime, despite their 17-point advantage.

Barkley continued to rip into the Bucks, saying that Bucks put together one of the dumbest games. He pointed out the reckless 3-point shooting, but their overuse of iso basketball down the stretch should be mentioned also. The ball got stuck in one person’s hand down the stretch and it ended up costing Milwaukee.

The choke job by the Bucks is right on queue with their recent history of playoff shortcomings. With them down 3-2 heading back to Milwaukee, it’s do-or-die time for Giannis Antentokounmpo and company. Maybe watching Charles Barkley roasting their awful Game 5 will be the motivation they need to fight off elimination in Game 6.
