The Toronto Blue Jays helped the New York Yankees clinch their second triple play on the season due to their abysmal base-running on Thursday.

The Toronto Blue Jays were hoping they could gain some ground on the New York Yankees in the AL East standings with some wins. Toronto dropped the first two games of the series, and looked to get back in the win column on Thursday night. But, they made things harder for themselves thanks to some rather awful base-running.

Yankees starting pitcher Michael King got himself into an early jam after walking Marcus Semien, allowing a single to Bo Bichette and throwing a wild pitch to advance both runners to second and third. But all of those were negated after Vladimir Guerrero Jr. hit a ground ball to King, and the Yankees infield capitalized on the questionable decision-making by the Blue Jays on the base path.

Words do not do it justice, take a look for yourself in the video below:

That was truly something to watch. We can safely say that Blue Jays fans across the globe will be avoiding this clip at all costs by passing by it on social media, or by covering their eyes and ears if it pops up on their television screens.

To make matters worse for Blue Jays fans, this is now the second triple play converted by the Yankees, as they did so back in May against the Chicago White Sox. And the Blue Jays just gifted them the assist on Thursday night.
