NFL insider Ian Rapoport has come out and said that Green Bay Packers fans need to ‘buckle up’ for some Aaron Rodgers news down the road.

The $1 million question everyone will have on their minds this summer is whether or not Aaron Rodgers will take the field come Week 1 for the Green Bay Packers against New Orleans. Right now, his status for the 2021 campaign as a whole is up in the air.

With Packers fans waiting desperately for some good news to arrive, NFL insider Ian Rapoport said that while nothing is expected to be announced soon, the Green Bay faithful need to ‘buckle up’ for some big news to eventually arrive.

Green Bay Packers fans are hoping Aaron Rodgers starts Week 1

For people hoping a decision will come in the next week, it doesn’t look like that’s going to happen. Per Rapoport, the two sides remain distant. At the end of the day, though, this is all about Rodgers and the front office trying to patch up their relationship.

Things have been awful between the two sides following the NFC Championship Game loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Rumors continue to swirl that Rodgers may end up retiring or just sitting the year out. Other reports have stated that teams are still hoping to put a sexy enough offer on the table for Green Bay to trade the future Hall-of-Famer.

Last season, Rodgers took home MVP honors after throwing for 48 touchdowns. He and Davante Adams are arguably the best duo in the NFL. Will the two put on a show once the 2021 campaign arrives. That’s for Rodgers to decide. Everyone outside of Chicago, Detroit and Minnesota is hoping that decision comes in soon and that he’s present for training camp.
