Italy, after winning both their group A games, look to be the team to beat at Euro 2020. Can anyone beat them as the 24-nation field prepares to enter matchday 3?

The Euros enter matchday 3 starting on Sunday — the final games of the group stage for each nation — as the 24-team field whittles itself down to 16 that qualify for the knockout round.

Once again, the Italians remain in a very strong position to win this thing after recording a 3-0 victory against Switzerland 3-0 last Wednesday in Rome. The win put the Azzurri through to the knockout stage. A win in Rome on Sunday against Wales would allow the Italians to finish first in Group A.

Belgium, meanwhile, have also won both their group games, along with the Netherlands. Over in Group F, France, the pre-tournament favorites and defending World Cup champions, could only draw Hungary on Saturday in Budapest.

Germany, meanwhile, trounced Portugal, the defending Euro champions, 4-2 in the same group to keep their hopes of advancing to the knockout stage very much alive.

Here’s a look at the latest power rankings.

10. Portugal (1-0-1)

Yes, they were beaten badly by Germany in Munich but never rule out a team that has Cristiano Ronaldo in the lineup.

9. Sweden (1-1-0)

The Swedes look like strong favorites to win Group E following Friday’s 1-0 win against Slovakia. Another strong outing in the final Group E game this Wednesday versus Poland will be crucial for them.

8. Wales (1-1-0)

Wales remains alive in Group A, and in strong position to advance out of the first round even if they lose to Italy, following last Wednesday’s 2-0 win over Turkey.

7. England (1-1-0)

The Three Lions came into the tournament with a very strong roster, but Friday’s disappointing scoreless draw against Scotland in London did not bode well.

6. Czech Republic (1-1-0)

The Czechs have found themselves in great form as of late thanks to the scoring exploits of budding striker Patrik Schick. He has scored three times in two games and remains the tournament joint top scorer with Ronaldo.

5. Germany  (1-0-1)

If you had left the Germans for dead, you’d be wrong. Their hammering of Portugal is a sign that the four-time World Cup champions should never be underestimated in any tournament.

4. France (1-1-0)

Les Bleus have, on paper, the strongest attack at the Euros. That doesn’t mean Kylian Mbappe and Karim Benzema will always come through. For France’s sake, these men need to up their game in the final group game against Portugal this coming Wednesday.

3. Netherlands (2-0)

The Dutch started off shaky, but have now won twice in as many games. Last Thursday’s 2-0 win against Austria was emphatic (as well as much better defensively) as they look to go deep into the tournament.

2. Belgium (2-0)

Ranked No. 1 in the world by FIFA, the Red Devils have not let anyone down. They came into the tournament as one of the favorites and that has changed over their first two games. They will look to win Group B with a win or draw against Finland.

1.Italy (2-0)

A pair of 3-0 wins (against Turkey and Switzerland) make the Azzurri the team to beat at this tournament. The Italians play with an ease and joy that should make the rest of the field fear them.
