Seattle Mariners. Mitch Haniger. 2.. player. OF. 62. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis

The outfield was once a position of strength for the Braves, but their depth has been hit hard this season. Star Ronald Acuña Jr. has been banged up this season and Marcell Ozuna is out indefinitely following his arrest on assault and battery charges. While there are outfielders such as Cristian Pache and Drew Winters in the prospect pipeline, the Braves may not feel they are ready to contribute on a game-by-game basis.

If that is truly the case, they should give the Mariners a call for outfielder Mitch Haniger.

The Mariners outfielder has had some bad luck with injuries in the 20219 and 2020 seasons, but he has bounced back in a huge way in 2021. Through 68 regular-season games, Haniger is slashing .257/.306/.500 while recording 16 home runs, 41 RBI, 45 runs scored and 69 hits.

Atlanta needs to fill the void left by Ozuna in the outfield. While there are options like Joey Gallo of the Texas Rangers likely available at the deadline, Haniger is a much better option for the Braves.
