The Green Bay Packers will have many battles to watch throughout training camp this summer.

While the Aaron Rodgers quarterbacking drama continues, there will be plenty of training camp battles going on this summer to distract Green Bay Packers fans from this ongoing saga.

Regardless of the quarterbacking situation being in limbo, Green Bay can win the NFC North for the third year in a row, as well as being one of the serious contenders to represent the NFC in Super Bowl 56 down in Los Angeles. As long as the rest of the Packers roster puts in the work this summer, they could set themselves up for what should be another excellent NFL season in 2021.

Of the many training camp battles going on, these are the two most intriguing for Green Bay.

2. Equanimeous St. Brown, Devin Funchess, Amari Rodgers to battle for catches

One of the best things the Packers have going for them this year is an incredibly deep receiving corps. It is both balanced and versatile. Leading the way obviously is perennial Pro Bowler Davante Adams. Backing him up will likely be Allen Lazard and Marquez Valdes-Scantling, who have been the Packers’ two most reliable targets after Adams and tight end Robert Tonyan in recent seasons.

From there, it is all about repetitions and opportunities for the rest of the Green Bay receiving corps. This season will be Equanimeous St. Brown’s fourth year with the Packers. Devin Funchess will be back after opting out of his first year with the team due to COVID-19 concerns in 2020. Green Bay also used a third-round on former Clemson star Amari Rodgers in the 2021 NFL Draft this spring.

One would think that Rodgers being a Day 2 pick out of a collegiate powerhouse like Clemson would give him the upper hand over Funchess or St. Brown. Though St. Brown has been with the Packers easily the longest of the three of them, Funchess has had the most success of the trio in the NFL, albeit elsewhere. All three could make the roster, but only one may make a huge impact.

Having a deep receiving corps is fascinating, but another position group will help them win games.
