Derek Stingley Jr.’s latest tattoo tells us the LSU football program is the rightful home of DBU.

LSU football star Derek Stingley Jr. has a new tattoo to let everyone know where DBU calls home.

Stingley is entering his third, and presumably his final, year with the LSU Tigers. As a freshman, he won a national title and was a consensus All-American. Stingley is a two-time All-SEC performer. As the favorite to take home the Jim Thorpe Award this upcoming season, Stingley got the letters D, B and U tattooed on his right triceps, so we would never forget where DBU’s rightful home is.

If all goes according to plan, Stingley will be a no-doubt, top-five selection in the 2022 NFL Draft.

LSU has had so many sensational defensive backs over the years. Whether we want to as far back as Tommy Casanova decades prior or more recently with players currently in the NFL like Jamal Adams, Tyrann Mathieu and Patrick Peterson, it is next to impossible to say another Power Five school is the home of DBU. Even if Florida and Texas want to claim it, they are not on LSU’s level.

While it remains to be seen if Stingley will achieve the same amount of success in his junior season as his freshman campaign, he has done enough in two seasons to ensure himself of being a first-round pick in the upcoming NFL Draft. However, the manner in which he performs will decide if he goes top-16, top-12, top-10 or even top-three. He is that talented for the Tigers.
