If you’re watching the Phoenix Suns vs. Los Angeles Clippers Game 5, you may be wondering, why does Devin Booker wear a mask?

Devin Booker is still wearing a mask in Game 5 vs. the Los Angeles Clippers after injuring it earlier in the series after knocking heads with Patrick Beverley.

After a tough shooting performance, Devin Booker probably wished he could ditch the face mask,.

How did Devin Booker break his nose?

If you’re wondering why Booker wears a mask, it’s because he needed some stitches after busting his nose after an accidental headbutt from Patrick Beverley earlier in the series. If it wasn’t the NBA Playoffs and Western Conference Playoffs, Booker would likely get surgery to fix his broken nose, but he’s toughing it out.

Devin Booker likely will wear a mask the rest of the NBA Playoffs

Booker solicited advice from Richard Hamilton before his first game with the mask on. Hamilton was famous for wearing a mask during his prime with the Detroit Pistons after frequently breaking his nose.

Hamilton’s advice to Booker was to basically act as if he’s not wearing a mask at all and play his game like he always does. That may be easier said than done, but with Booker getting a little more acclimated to wearing the mask during games, he may be more comfortable with Game 5 here.

Booker and the Phoenix Suns are hoping to close out the Clippers and advance to the NBA Finals for the first time since 1993.
