Trevor Bauer investigation underway in Pasadena after the Dodgers pitcher was accused of assault by a woman. Bauer denies the allegations.

Trevor Bauer denies the encounter that led to a woman filing and being granted a temporary domestic violence restraining order was nothing more than rough consensual sex.

Bauer, a pitcher for the Los Angeles Dodgers, is cooperating with the Pasadena Police Department, according to TMZ who reported the news of the assault investigation. TMZ reports the two met online and hooked up on two occasions.

The alleged victim’s attorney, Marc Garelick, said via TMZ, “The order is a result of a recent assault that took place at the hands of Mr. Bauer where Ms. Hill suffered severe physical and emotional pain.”

Garelick said he expects criminal charges will be filed against the former NL Cy Young Award winner who signed a 3-year deal worth $102 million deal in the offseason.

“Our goal is to keep Mr. Bauer from contacting our client in any way possible. We anticipate there will be criminal action against Mr. Bauer, and it is our hope law enforcement will take our client’s allegations and case seriously.”

The attorney for Bauer released a statement which is shared below by ESPN’s Jeff Passan which says Bauer and the woman engaged in rough, consensual sex. Bauer and his attorney intend to refute the allegations to the fullest extent of the law.

Bauer is not married and previously said if he was, he would be a bad husband, according to a profile by Sports Illustrated’s Ben Reiter. In the profile, Bauer reveals his three rules for a relationship which will raise questions after this investigation.
