The Los Angeles Clippers mascot is getting all kinds of attention in Game 6 of the Western Conference Finals.

With their season on the line, it’s not the actual Clippers team that is getting attention. Rather, it’s their mascot, Chuck.

Yes, Chuck is a rather odd-looking creature. He’s…a bird, I think.

Because I cannot for the life of me pretend to give you a legitimate answer as to what the Clippers mascot is or is not, here’s what the NBA official website has to say on the matter.

NBA Playoffs: What is the Clippers mascot?

“In addition to owning the NBA’s largest wingspan and flying up to speeds of 55mph (source: Chuck), Chuck knows how to electrify Clipper Nation. During a spectacular half-time debut featuring a tumbling display worthy of a world-class gymnogyps, Chuck also convinced Steve (Ballmer) to throw down a dunk in front of a sold-out STAPLES Center. At Steve’s insistence, with dunk comes chucks, and the bird stuck true to his word, giving every fan in attendance a voucher for a pair of red high-top Chuck Taylor All Star sneakers.”

Chuck is a condor, for those who were not aware (me).

He has an Instagram and Twitter account, and probably a TikTok at this point, too.

Sure, why not.
