Phoenix Suns fans celebrated with the team at the airport after they reached the NBA Finals for the first time since 1993.

Phoenix Suns fans were finally able to celebrate success Wednesday night. Behind a masterful performance from Chris Paul, the team dominated the Los Angeles Clipper in a 130-103 blowout in Game 6. That win clinched Phoenix’s first NBA Finals berth since the Charles Barkley days in 1993. After many down seasons and sub-.500 records, the city of Phoenix is four wins away from a championship.

It looked like the whole city of Phoenix stayed up and waited for the team to arrive home so they could celebrate with them.

A huge crowd of Suns fans waited for the team to arrive at the airport to celebrate NBA Finals berth.

When the Suns arrived at the airport after their Game 6 victory, they were greeted by a throng of Phoenix fans. The faithful cheered for the team as they left the airport, and an anchor of the team embraced them. Forward Jae Crowder was seen leaning out of the car, driving past the fans, dapping them up, and talking with them.

The team might have some time to enjoy their long-awaited NBA Finals berth. The Atlanta Hawks and Milwaukee Bucks enter a pivotal Game 5 Thursday night, and both of their stars are injured. Giannis Antentokounmpo has a hyperextended knee, and Trae Young has a deep bone bruise in his right foot. With their statuses unknown for the remainder of the series, it could last seven games.

The extra rest would benefit the Suns, or it could cause them to become rusty. Nevertheless, the team is excited that they reached the NBA Finals, and they are the favorites to win it entering the final chapter of the season.
