3 Bucks who need to step up in NBA Finals with Giannis Antetokounmpo banged up

Jrue Holiday must play like an Olympian to keep pace with Chris Paul at the point
Though it will not require a herculean effort, that still does not change the fact that Jrue Holiday must play like an Olympian at the point guard position for the Bucks. In most nights, he is the team’s third best player, but with Antetokounmpo on the mend, he has to assert himself as Milwaukee’s No. 2 to best keep pace with Phoenix’s No. 2 in Suns star point guard Chris Paul.
Holiday had no issues getting to the rim vs. the Hawks all series, but once he really started to get into rhythm outside of the paint offensively, Milwaukee started to take full control of Atlanta. While Paul is a borderline top-five point guard all time, Holiday should not be fazed by going up against a future hall of famer in this series. He needs to make of the most of his big opportunity.
Think about it for a second. If Holiday helps guide Milwaukee to its first NBA championship since 1971 and then plays a big role in Team USA’s gold medal run in Tokyo in a few weeks, that will do wonders for his legacy and reputation. While other players in this series have a lot to gain by winning a league championship, doing so will help Holiday finally get the respect he deserves.
Holiday can carry the Bucks to a few wins, but even he is not the most important player for them.
