Derek Carr really wants to be reunited with his college teammate Davante Adams in Las Vegas.

During their run with the Fresno State Bulldogs, quarterback Derek Carr and wide receiver Davante Adams did incredible things together on the football field.

Flash forward seven years later. Carr is the franchise quarterback of the Las Vegas Raiders, while Adams is the perennial Pro Bowl wideout for the Green Bay Packers. With Adams entering a contract year with the Packers, Carr had no problems shamelessly recruiting his college teammate to the dark side during his appearance on PFF’s The Cris Collinsworth Podcast on Wednesday.

What are the chances Carr and Adams reunite in Sin City to take the Raiders over the top in 2022?

Derek Carr is recruiting Davante Adams to the Las Vegas Raiders already

While it makes sense for Adams to keep playing in Green Bay, a lot of this is contingent on Aaron Rodgers being the Packers quarterback going forward. If the Rodgers era is coming to an end in Green Bay, then it would serve Adams to potentially look at playing elsewhere in 2022. If the Raiders are willing to pay top dollar for him, then Adams may go play for the Silver and Black.

Carr saying he might buy his college teammate a car if he comes to the Raiders might be a tad tongue in cheek, but he does consider Adams to be one of his best friends. If Adams does look to leave Green Bay in free agency, one would think the Raiders would be one of the handful of teams he would seriously consider going to. His Las Vegas arrival should make the Raiders a better team.

Carr speaking this openly about recruiting Adams shows us how much he wants to play with him.
