Phoenix Suns superstar Devin Booker has no plans to bail on Team USA for the Tokyo Olympics later this summer.

It really could turn out to be a summer to remember for Phoenix Suns sharpshooter Devin Booker. Not only are the Suns favored to win the NBA Finals, but Booker will be chasing even more glory in the coming weeks.

Booker, obviously focused on Game 2 of the Finals on Thursday night, has also come out and said he’s still going to suit up for Team USA in the Olympics. That’s right, nothing is going to stop Booker from heading to Tokyo to chase a gold medal.

Devin Booker will still suit up for Team USA at the Summer Olympics

If you were worried about Booker potentially backing out, that’s simply not going to be the case. The Americans are without question the favorites to take home the gold, as they’ve done so in three consecutive tournaments.

For the USA to win a fourth-straight gold would simply be unreal. However, the roster is totally stacked, with Booker joined by

Kevin Durant

,

Damian Lillard

,

Bradley Beal

,

Khris Middleton

,

Jayson Tatum

, Bradley Beal and other playmakers.

Before Booker does head overseas, though, he’ll of course be hoping he can do so as an NBA Finals champ. Phoenix looked terrific in the Game 1 118-105 victory. While Giannis Antetokounmpo was able to suit up for that first contest, the Suns were clearly the superior team.

Later this month, they have what it takes to wrap up the series and claim the NBA’s top prize. Booker will obviously play a major role in making that happen. Then in Tokyo, Booker could carry the team to the biggest international honor. We’ll see if Booker can get this done.
