Ronald Acuña Jr. had to be carted off the field after suffering a scary knee injury on Saturday.

While trying to make a play on the ball in right field vs. the Miami Marlins, Atlanta Braves superstar Ronald Acuña Jr. sustained a scary knee injury and had to be carted off the field.

Even if Jazz Chisholm hit an inside-the-park home run on the play, all of loanDepot Park was silent as Acuña laid on his side on the warning track. He needed assistance getting to his feet. While he tried to walk off the field towards the visitors’ dugout, he was unable to make the entire trek by himself. Acuña had to be carted off the field the rest of the way. This is a brutal injury for Atlanta.

You can kiss Acuña’s appearance at the 2021 MLB All-Star Game goodbye after this knee injury.

Atlanta Braves: Ronald Acuña Jr. carted off the field with a scary knee injury

If the Braves won the final two games of this weekend road series, they will be above .500 for the first time all season. That would be great and all, but nobody cares about that right now. If Acuna tore something in his knee, his season is over and so might the Braves’.

This has been a disaster of a season thus far in Atlanta, and it is looking like they will not make the postseason this October.
