Jaylen Sneed is ready to prove his worth to Notre Dame, which includes bringing home a national championship for the Fighting Irish when the time comes.

Notre Dame has the opportunity to do big things this past season. Closing out with a 10-2 record and a berth in the College Football Playoff, Brian Kelly’s club is building toward the program’s first national title since 1988. That’s one of the reasons why the Fighting Irish were able to secure the commitment from four-star recruit Jaylen Sneed who thinks Notre Dame is close to winning a national championship.

Sneed is looking to live up to the hype and contribute to the Fighting Irish ASAP

The 6-foot-2, 210-pound linebacker from Hilton Head Island (SC) committed to Notre Dame on Monday and is confident that the Irish will be a contender during his time in South Bend.

Sneed told 247Sports this about the opportunity to join Brian Kelly:

"“Just being able to be part of a team that has a possibility and a really good chance to play in the National Championship gets me excited because I want to bring one of those home.”"

Well, that was pretty cut and dry. He’s very adamant about making his mark and making big contributions to the team. But his contributions can already be seen at Hilton Head.

Sneed is ranked as the No. 70 overall recruit, No. 8 linebacker and No. 2 prospect in the state of South Carolina, according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings.
