Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin had a hilarious response to learning Alabama quarterback Bryce Young has already racked up $1 million in endorsements.

Bryce Young hasn’t even started a game for Alabama football and he’s already making life-changing money from endorsement deals.

According to Nick Saban, the young quarterback has already pulled in deals worth something approaching $1 million.

When Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin heard that number, he couldn’t believe his ears. Then he did what Kiffin does best and spun it into a hilarious response.

Lane Kiffin’s response to Bryce Young’s endorsement deals was awesome

“That just blows me away. That’s amazing. I mean, a million dollars? Wow,” Kiffin said, per Wes Rucker of 247Sports. “Obviously, he doesn’t need to play against us this year. Just sit that one out.”

It’s not hard to see why Kiffin would prefer to avoid Young on the football field. The highly-touted recruit had to wait his turn behind Mac Jones in 2020, but he has all the talent to make life miserable for the Tide’s SEC opponents.

Last year, Jones and company dropped 63 on Kiffin’s Rebels. Ole Miss hasn’t beaten Alabama since 2015. Putting up 48 points against them in 2020 still resulted in a 15-point loss, which is the closest they’ve come since 2016.

Of course, Kiffin and Saban are still making significantly more money than Young and his teammates, even if you add that million dollars to the value of his scholarship.

The key for Young is to prove himself worthy of the faith those early endorsement deals are putting in him. He has big expectations on his shoulders as the Tide remain a national championship favorite going into the 2021 season.
