Everything you need to know about the Milwaukee Bucks NBA championship parade route, date, start time and more.

Soak this in: the Milwaukee Bucks are NBA Champions.

After falling into a 0-2 hole to start the NBA Finals, the Bucks didn’t so much crawl out as they did fire themselves like a rocket out of that deficit to win four straight games. The end result was the franchise’s second NBA title and the first since 1971.

It’s not actually a sweep, but winning four games in a row should count as close to a sweep as possible.

We are, in a way, in uncharted territory as far as what happens next. Not only have the Bucks not celebrated a title in half a century but no Milwaukee teams have won a championship since the days of Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.

When is Milwaukee Bucks NBA championship parade?

Typically a team will have its championship parade a day or two after the title is won. This is usually baked in for city planning but also to allow for travel back to the home city for the festivities.

When the Tampa Bay Buccaneers won the Super Bowl this year, they were bailed out by the fact that the game was held in their home stadium. In pre-COVID times, teams like the Nationals and Raptors both held their parades within the next three days of winning their title.

Milwaukee winning the NBA Finals at home goes a long way in making it easier to get to a championship parade sooner.

While nothing is official yet, Bucks President Peter Feigin said last night that Thursday is the day for fans to circle.

The Bucks are the first Wisconsin team to win a championship since the Green Bay Packers won the Super Bowl over a decade ago. That parade was held in Green Bay, though, so this will be the first championship parade to go through downtown Milwaukee since 1971 when the Bucks last won a title.

The Brewers have never won a World Series, so there hasn’t been an opportunity to carve out a parade route in roughly 50 years.
