USA vs Italy live stream reddit for Tokyo Olympics opener

Softball makes its return to the Summer Olympics, and USA-Italy will take part in an opening round matchup on Tuesday, July 20.

For the first time since 2008, softball will be played in the Summer Olympics. The United States, who have won three gold medals in the sport, will kick things off on Tuesday night when they face Italy in the opening round.

USA and Italy join Canada, Japan, Australia and Mexico in a six-team tournament. Each country’s team will face their five opponents in the round-robin tournament. The top two teams will play in the gold-medal game, while the third and fourth place teams will compete for bronze.

Once the sport was included in the Summer Olympics back in 1996, Team USA won gold medals in the first three tries. The United States lost to Japan back in the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, China. Now, they have their chance to avenge that loss after 13 years, in the hopes of winning their fourth gold medal.
