Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur hilariously revealed that he coped with all the Aaron Rodgers drama by drinking wine to put him to sleep.

It goes without saying, but the offseason was incredibly stressful for Matt LaFleur and the Green Bay Packers. Up until earlier this week, it was completely up in the air if Aaron Rodgers would return to the team for the 2021 season or not.

Fortunately for LaFleur, Rodgers is at training camp throwing the ball around again. That doesn’t mean the head coach wasn’t stressed. On Wednesday, he joked that there were nights he couldn’t sleep, but that he’d actually drink wine to try and get over things. This is gold.

While LaFleur was obviously joking, you know he’s 100 percent relieved that the worst appears to be over and Rodgers is back in the mix. Fresh off an MVP season in 2020, Rodgers is no doubt motivated to put on a show this season and quiet down everyone who has been bashing him, claiming he’s been a bit of a diva.

Regardless of that, Green Bay has the tools to push for a potential trip to the Super Bowl. That will always be the case when Rodgers is under center and Davante Adams is on the outside catching balls from him.

Green Bay nearly won the NFC last year, but a stunning loss to Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers – who went on to win the Super Bowl – ruined those plans. From the second that game ended, there was speculation that Rodgers wouldn’t return.

Rodgers indeed is back, though, and LaFleur can’t rest easy. Better yet, he can put down the wine bottle and sleep in peace.
