Ranking every Yankees trade based on its World Series impact

Joey Gallo is expected to help the Yankees out a ton in their every day lineup
Of New York’s two biggest trades made heading into the deadline, one that could solve multiple issues for them was dealing for left-handed power hitter Joey Gallo from the Texas Rangers. The Yankees’ lineup had been incredibly right-handed-centric, so getting a power bat in Gallo really helps give them more balance. Better yet, Gallo provides a great deal of defensive flexibility, too.
Not only did the Yankees have a left-handed bat situation to address, they also had to figure out how they were going to address not having Aaron Hicks the rest of the way in centerfield. Yes, they still have the ageless Brett Gardner to trot out there, but adding a potential outfielder like Gallo who could conceivably play at either corner infield spot could help them out greatly as well.
While Gallo is not going to hit for anything close to a high average, he will provide the fireworks with his raw power from the left side. He is coming off an All-Star first half with the Rangers, as he had 25 home runs and 55 runs batted in during 95 games with Texas this year. Again, he is going to provide a big boost for the Yankees at the plate. What he does in the field will help a ton.
Trading for an All-Star makes the Yankees better, but he is not carrying them to the World Series.
