Round 2

53. . RB. Cleveland Browns. Nick Chubb. 11. player

11. Team 10

Nick Chubb would be a top-five pick if Kareem Hunt was not a Cleveland Brown. That being said, Hunt is one moving forward so we instead have to deal with a little less work for Chubb. Not that this has mattered as Chubb showed last season that he is the superior running back in the offense and behind what may be the best offensive line in football, he could break some records too. Chubb is neck and neck with Derrick Henry for best pure rusher in the league.

Take him with confidence.

Stefon Diggs. 12. player. 16. . WR. Buffalo Bills

12. Team 9

Who would have thought Stefon Diggs would become one of the best fantasy players by leaving Minnesota? Maybe some people did, but seeing that he was going so late last season in drafts compared to prior seasons, it was stunning, to say the least. Diggs and Josh Allen had the chemistry down from Week 1 and on as Diggs showed that he is one of the best in all of football. As he enters year two with Allen, it’s hard to think he will do anything else but be a stud again.

player. 46. . RB. Indianapolis Colts. Jonathan Taylor. 13

13. Team 8

Many analysts have Jonathan Taylor going in the first round of their drafts and while that is understandable after the numbers he produced at year’s end last year, we want to pump the breaks just a bit.

There’s a good chance Taylor is an RB1 this season, but he is no better than the likes of Chubb or Ekeler. Taylor is going to be a stud for the Colts this season and should go off the board in the middle of the second round.

. WR. Arizona Cardinals. DeAndre Hopkins. 14. player. 32

14. Team 7

Does the Fantasy Football world appreciate DeAndre Hopkins nearly enough? Not too sure. Hopkins stepped into a new team with the Arizona Cardinals and didn’t miss a beat. Finishing as the WR4 with 287.8 PPR points, Hopkins showed everyone how special he is and that his connection with Kyler Murray was legit.

Now with a real offseason to work together, Murray and Hopkins should be even better as Hopkins could finish as the top wide receiver in fantasy for the first time since 2018.

15. player. 49. . RB. Green Bay Packers. Aaron Jones

15. Team 6

Aaron Jones is officially the most disrespected player in fantasy. Two straight seasons of finishing in the top five for running backs and no one views him as a first-round pick. This offseason also saw Jamal Williams leave the Packers for the Detroit Lions, guaranteeing him as the lone pass-catching running back in the Packers offense. He’s expected to lose some groundwork to A.J. Dillon, but that won’t hurt him much.

Jones should be great again and we acknowledge we possibly have him too low now that Rodgers is officially back. If you took him in the first round, we wouldn’t blame you.

Najee Harris. 16. player. 55. . RB. Pittsburgh Steelers

16. Team 5

It’s become a theme in recent years that there is always one rookie running back carrying all the hype in the world heading into Fantasy Football drafts. Sometimes it has worked out and other times it has not. Najee Harris was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the first round of the NFL Draft to be their franchise running back moving forward. By draft time, the hype could work him into the first round.

We think he is best suited in the second round as the Steelers’ offensive line still has plenty of questions that could limit his rushing numbers a bit.

58. . RB. Washington Commanders. Antonio Gibson. 17. player

17. Team 4

Antonio Gibson is entering his sophomore season and should be a high-RB2 heading into the season. If Gibson stops getting spelled for J.D. McKissic on passing downs, he could be one of the best picks all season. Time will tell if that happens, but he still is one of the better picks in the second round this season.

18. player. 36. . WR. Seattle Seahawks. D.K. Metcalf

18. Team 3

D.K. Metcalf is a man among children at times on the field. He showed that in his 2020 campaign as Metcalf established himself as one of the best wide receivers in all of football. With Russell Wilson set to return this season after an offseason where there were rumors he could be leaving, Metcalf is now set for what could be an even bigger season.

A second-round pick paired with one of the top picks in drafts sounds like a win.

19. player. 44. . WR. Atlanta Falcons. Calvin Ridley

19. Team 2

No more Julio Jones in Atlanta means that there is no question as to who is the number one option in Atlanta. Calvin Ridley had himself a season last year, finish as the WR5 while missing a game and getting zero catches in another.

Matt Ryan will be throwing the ball a lot again this season and Ridley should be among the players in the league with the highest targets. He’s a clear WR1 and could be the best with another good season.

WR. Minnesota Vikings. Justin Jefferson. 20. player. 60.

20. Team 1

Justin Jefferson showed very quickly in his first season that he is an elite presence on the field. Jefferson became Kirk Cousins’ favorite receiver and it felt like game after game it was the Jefferson show in Minnesota. Sophomore slump is always something to worry about, but the LSU product is a bona fide superstar worthy of going in the second round.
