The Houston Astros are rolling but they can still use some help going into the final stretch before the postseason. September call ups will matter.

September call ups aren’t too far away for the Houston Astros. Who should get the promotion?

The decision might have been easier if prospects like Tyler Ivey and Jeremy Pena weren’t out for the season with injury.

Houston has had success some with Jake Meyers providing depth in the outfield.

What other moves should be on the way?

Peter Solomon

The Astros have already called upon Peter Solomon a few times as a reliever. When the roster expands, it would make sense to look his way again.

Solomon appeared in two games in April and one in July. In three innings of action, he allowed zero earned runs and gave up three hits against 14 batters.

The majors didn’t look too big for the 24-year-old. The cameo will have earned him some solid trust from management.

At the minor league level, Solomon is 5-0 for Sugar Land in AAA, with an ERA of 5.32.

Solomon could do great work as an extra arm in the bullpen in September.
