Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson lashes out at reporters who are doing their jobs.
Things are not going well for Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson during training camp.
Watson has a myriad of off-the-field issues and may never play another meaningful snap for the Texans. All the while, the organization is hopelessly mired in perpetual dysfunction. It is not if, but rather how soon, the Texans will clinch the No. 1 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft. To make matters even worse, here is Watson lashing out at reporters who are filming him during fall camp.
When you are openly criticizing somebody for doing their job, then you have some major issues.

Let’s be real. This might be the worst time to be a Texans fans in their franchise’s short, but fascinating history. They finally got themselves a franchise quarterback, but after four years, the writing is clearly on the wall. When franchises like the Detroit Lions, the Jacksonville Jaguars and the New York Jets have more optimism than you, you have done everything wrong under the sun.
I get it. The situation manifesting in Houston is untenable, but you cannot lash out at reporters trying to do their jobs in this manner. Their job is to give fans of the sport they cover access they would not be getting otherwise. Without the fans, athletes are not going to be paid the big bucks. Watson may be having a rough go of it, but keeping his mouth shut here would have been ideal.
In a league that does a better job of selling hope than anyone, the Texans are completely hopeless.
