Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo surprised fans in Greece by showing off his NBA Finals MVP trophy as his title celebration rolls on.

Giannis Antetokounmpo is an NBA champion and Finals MVP. And he’s spreading the joy of that accomplishment in his native Greece.

Imagine you’re a young basketball fan in Acropolis and you see Antetokounmpo walking down the street holding his Finals MVP trophy? The Greek Freak made that vision a reality this week.

Antetokounmpo posted video on his Instagram surprising a fan wearing his jersey with an up-close look at his new hardware.

He even had the Larry O’Brien Trophy tucked away in a backpack. That’s some serious clout right there.

Giannis Antetokounmpo hasn’t let go of his Finals NBA MVP trophy yet

Can you blame Antetokounmpo for casually walking down the streets of Greece holding his trophy? After winning the ultimate prize, you’re entitled to have it consume your every waking moment. Hell, it wouldn’t be surprising if he slept next to the thing. Leaving it out of his sight doesn’t seem to be an option.

His trophy case is getting rather full now. He was the NBA MVP in 2018-19 and 2019-20. Being the best player in the league was just the start. He picked up his first NBA title and Finals MVP this past season.

Antetokounmpo will go into the 2021-22 season with five NBA All-Star and All-NBA nods. There’s no reason to believe he won’t be adding to that number in the coming seasons.

The big question is whether he’ll be able to turn up to Greece next summer with another set of trophies. His Milwaukee Bucks will try to repeat, but the competition will be bigger than ever with contenders in both conferences strengthening considerably during free agency.

Shaq's cool with Giannis being called Superman. dark. Next
