Tampa Bay Buccaneers cheerleaders weren’t about to let the Tennessee Titans disrespect their midfield logo. So they formed a line across it.

If the Tennessee Titans thought they’d be able to gather at the Buccaneers midfield logo at Raymond James Stadium, they were sorely mistaken.

Tampa Bay’s cheerleaders formed a line across the logo to stop any shenanigans from happening.

Midfield logos are often a target for opposing teams. The Titans specifically are known for gathering at midfield for a team meeting before games. Logos have been stomped.

If you’re a cheerleader, you have a lot of jobs. Mostly you’re a representative of the team for fan engagement purposes on game day and throughout the year. Sometimes, that means turning into security guards, apparently. The fans at Raymond James should appreciate the effort, silly as it all is.

The NFL probably isn’t too mad at this either. Better to have cheerleaders taking logo protection into their own hands than midfield brawls between teams breaking out over disrespect, perceived or intended. Famously, Tennessee and Baltimore got into it over a midfield gather on the Ravens logo. So this type of thing does happen.

There has already been drama between the two teams playing Saturday. Antonio Brown and Chris Jackson got into it during a joint practice earlier in the week.

Saturday’s game between the Titans and Bucs is the second one for Tampa Bay at home this preseason. They lost 19-14 against the Bengals in their first preseason outing.
