After another 2-0 loss, this time to Chelsea, Arsenal fans have grown impatient and are calling for Mikel Arteta to be fired.

The nightmare start to the season has continued for Mikel Arteta and Arsenal. After suffering a 2-0 loss to Brentford to open the campaign, the Gunners hosted Chelsea on Sunday and were hoping to earn three points against their rivals.

That didn’t happen, though, as Romelu Lukaku scored in his Chelsea debut and Reece James closed the scoring shortly after to give the Blues a convincing victory. Arsenal fans are furious, with countless calling for Arteta to be sacked.

Arsenal fans have seen enough and they want Mikel Arteta to be fired after the loss to Chelsea

Plain and simple, the Arteta experiment has not gone to plan for Arsenal. The former standout player had hopes of getting Arsenal back on track, but the team struggled throughout last season and things aren’t getting better this summer.

To make things even worse for Arteta, Arsenal is set to play reigning champions Manchester City next week, so the odds of them opening the year 0-3 are quite likely. Supporters know this, which is why they want him gone.

Arsenal fans knew that once Arsene Wenger retired, it would not be easy to fill his enormous shoes. However, time and time again, a new manager comes in and can’t get the Gunners operating in impressive fashion.

Arteta is loved by so many supporters, but the fact of the matter is that he’s not getting the job done. While the board has given him their trust, we could see a tough decision coming here soon. If you ask people outside the Emirates Stadium right now, though, they sure want Arteta gone.
