Dell Curry claims Sonya cheated on him with ex-Patriots tight end

The divorce proceedings between Sonya and Dell Curry are getting ugly with a claim of cheating with a former Patriots tight end.

The parents of Stephen Curry are getting a divorce and it’s not pretty.

In court documents obtained by TMZ, Dell Curry claims his estranged wife Sonya cheated on him with a former Patriots tight end.

The player in question is apparently Steven Johnson, a former sixth-rounder who New England drafted in 1988 out of Virginia Tech. He played one season for the Patriots, appearing in 14 games and starting three times.

Sonya and Dell Curry have lobbed cheating allegations against each other

According to TMZ, Dell says Sonya and Johnson began an affair before their separation began in March of 2020. He says she shouldn’t receive alimony as a result.

Of course, there are two sides to every story and Sonya tells it very differently. Court documents from her side claim the relationship with Johnson started only after the separation began. She also claims Dell cheated on her during the marriage, making his allegations hypocritical. She denied a claim that she is currently living with Johnson.

Divorces are messy, especially when they’re between public figures. Dell Curry is a former NBA star and currently an analyst for the Charlotte Hornets TV broadcasts. Sonya Curry is the president of a Christian Montessori School in North Carolina. As parents of Steph Curry and his brother Seth, they’re in the NBA spotlight as well.

Sonya filed for divorce in June after a separation of more than a year. It’s a shame the proceedings have turned into mud-slinging from both sides.
