Weather at Eagles-Jets looks like another world at MetLife Stadium
The weather at Metlife Stadium for the preseason game between the Philadelphia Eagles and New York Jets looks utterly miserable.
Rain games can be all sorts of fun, but the weather at Metlife Stadium ahead of the Eagles and Jets preseason game looks anything but.
Reporters at the stadium posted videos and photos that show just how insanely bad it got.
That video looks like a different planet with the rainwater blown across the surface of the field in waves.
Jets head coach Robert Saleh wasn’t put off his pregame routines.
That’s dedication right there.
Eagles insider John McMullen also posted a photo of a weather advisory telling fans to leave the outdoor seating bowl because of the conditions.
Conditions won’t help the Jets or Eagles in their preseason meeting
This will be the third preseason game for both teams. The Jets are undefeated with a victory over the Giants and Packers in their first two weeks. The Eagles are in the opposite position with two losses to the Steelers and Patriots. They were shut out by New England last weekend.
It was already unlikely fans would see starters on Friday night. However, they might not be able to see any action if the weather doesn’t let up.
Eagles Maven publisher Ed Kracz reported seeing Jets GM Joe Douglas speaking with stadium officials with the field looking increasingly damaged.
As it is, the only fans who stick around through that rain will have proven their diehard status forever.
